Golf La Moraleja IV

The character of a naturalized link

Surtec was responsible for the direction and agronomic coordination of the work carried out by the Contractor, guaranteeing strict compliance with the Designer’s and the Property’s specifications.

Course IV is a completely different piece from the other three courses at Golf La Moraleja. Designed by the Nicklaus Design studio, the course represents a rustic links style, with tee platforms integrated into the molding, sheep fescue outrough areas and bunkers with naturalized molding.

The execution of the course included an earthwork of 270,000 cubic meters, lamination of fairways with silica sand, USGA greens, 63 bunkers with a Sandtrapper system, 1,800 sprinklers with individual control and a repopulation of 800 specimens. The tees, fairways and rough were established with Poa pratense and Ryegrass and the greens with Agrostis stolonifera var. T1. The dominant species in the outrough areas is Festuca ovina var. Marcopolo.

Surtec Golf Agronomy directed and coordinated the agronomy of the works executed by the Contractor, guaranteeing strict compliance with the Designer’s and the Property’s specifications. Currently Surtec continues to collaborate with Golf La Moraleja as an agronomic consultant.
